CHAI has created a letter template for those interested in writing to their MLA. Please copy, paste, edit and add your own ideas and experiences. Remember, a signed, paper letter is the most effective choice, though fax and email work as well.

With three different layers of government in Canada, it can get a little confusing as to who to contact - particularly since all three governments have roles and responsibilities in housing. We are providing links to information to help you find out who are your representatives in government and how to contact them.

Once you've contacted your MLA, if you still want to do more, there are other representatives in the provincial government you may want to contact.

The Minister Responsible

Unfortunately, housing does not have its own Ministry in the Alberta Government and is instead lumped in under the Seniors and Community Supports Ministry.
